CGF Reading Group
The Centre for Global Finance commits to building research capacity and enhancing the research environment at SOAS University of London. Professor Victor Murinde conveys the CGF Reading Group Meeting every week on Wednesday 09:00-10:00am since 2017/2018 Academic Year. This regular group meeting is designed for staff members, post-doc Research Fellows as well as PhD students at SOAS School of Finance to:
track new literature and papers in the area of Finance and Accounting
generate and share new research ideas
write up papers for publication
prepare papers for submission
The meeting also covers trainings on essential research skills, including the construction of literature review, development of hypothesis, data collection methods, data management, data analysis, use of analytical software, and presentation skills. It has seen an increase of participants from 6 members in 2018 to 19 members in 2021.
