The UKFAN welcomes you to their inaugural Annual Conference taking place during the UK FinTech Week on Friday, 21st April 2023. This year we are pleased to have the support of EY who are fully sponsoring the event and will host us at their London Headquarters in More London Place (adjacent to London Bridge).

The UK FinTech Academic Network (UKFAN) Annual Conference provides a platform where cutting edge academic research in FinTech is discussed with finance practitioners, policy makers, and regulators. This year’s topics will debate: open finance, AI applications in FS, DeFi and Web3.0 developments, and how to accelerate FinTech innovation for growth.

Professor Markos Zachariadis (Director, Centre for Financial Technology Studies, Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS), University of Manchester) is Professor of Financial Technologies (FinTech) and Information Systems and a GF Council Member at the World Economic Forum.
Professor Pinar Ozcan (Director of the Oxford Future of Finance and Technology (Fintech) Initiative, Said Business School, University of Oxford) is Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation specialising in entrepreneurship and strategy in technology markets.

Dr Jean-Philippe Vergne (UCL School of Management, University College London) Associate Professor in Strategy focusing on the applications of blockchain and how it can decentralise organisations.
Dr. Ying-Ying Hsieh (Associate Director, Centre for Cryptocurrency Research and Engineering at Imperial College London) is Assistant Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship researching blockchain-based decentralised autonomous organisations (DAOs).
